Shane Coleman

National Director of Training

Emergency Road Service Coalition of America (ERSCA)


Shane Coleman currently serves as the National Director of Training for the Emergency Road Service Coalition of America (ERSCA), where he leads the development of national training initiatives focused on advancing safety, professionalism, and technical excellence throughout the towing and recovery industry. A second-generation towing professional, Shane has been actively involved in the industry since 1987, building a distinguished career through hands-on operational experience, equipment innovation, leadership, and professional education.

 

Beginning his career in his family's towing business in suburban Detroit, Michigan, Shane gained extensive experience in both private and municipal towing operations before transitioning into leadership roles with a major towing equipment manufacturer as a Product Specialist, Product Manager, and Product Trainer. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to elevating industry standards through education and workforce development. He holds a Certificate in Train-the-Trainer from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, complementing decades of practical experience with formal instructional training.

 

Today, Shane works with industry leaders, instructors, public agencies, and towing professionals across North America to develop comprehensive training programs, promote best practices, and strengthen the future of the towing and recovery profession. His mission is to transform towing from a job into a respected career through education, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to service.

Robert Craddock

Executive Director

Emergency Road Service Coalition of America (ERSCA)


Robert Craddock is the Executive Director of the Emergency Road Service Coalition of America (ERSCA) and has been actively involved in the towing and recovery industry since 1983.


Over the course of his career, Robert has worked in standard-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty towing and recovery, managing operations for both rural and metropolitan towing companies. His extensive experience spans all aspects of the industry, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, customer service, operational excellence, and operator safety.



Since the inception of ERSCA, Robert has played a key role in the organization's development and growth. His primary focus has been advancing professional training programs, promoting safe operating practices, and helping raise the standards of the towing and recovery industry through education. He continues to work closely with industry leaders, associations, and service providers to develop practical training solutions that improve safety, professionalism, and operational performance nationwide.


Autumn McGee

Office Manager

Emergency Road Service Coalition of America (ERSCA)



Autumn McGee has more than 13 years of experience in the towing and recovery industry. Throughout her career, she has held key leadership and administrative roles, including dispatching a 50-unit towing fleet, customer service, office management, membership services, and industry partner relations.

 

As a member of the ERSCA team, Autumn works closely with towing professionals, industry partners, and association members to strengthen relationships, support educational initiatives, and enhance member engagement. Her extensive industry knowledge, organizational skills, and commitment to customer service help advance ERSCA's mission of promoting professionalism, operator safety, and excellence throughout the towing and roadside service industry.


Board of Directors


The ERSCA Board of Directors is comprised of 26 business owners and experienced professionals representing a broad cross-section of the towing, recovery, and roadside service industry. Together, they bring decades of practical knowledge and leadership from standard-duty, medium-duty, heavy-duty, recovery, roadside assistance, fleet operations, training, and business management.

 

Serving on the Board is a volunteer commitment. Each director generously contributes their time, experience, and expertise to help guide the organization and support the continued advancement of the industry. Through regular meetings, committee participation, and collaboration with industry partners, the Board works to identify emerging challenges, develop practical solutions, and establish long-term goals that benefit towing professionals.

 

The Board provides strategic leadership for ERSCA's training and educational initiatives, promotes operator safety, professionalism, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, and helps ensure that ERSCA remains responsive to the evolving needs of the towing and recovery industry. Their dedication and commitment play a vital role in strengthening the profession and supporting those who serve motorists and communities every day.

Michael Estrada

Independent ERSCA Instructor

Standard Duty, Heavy Duty & Electric Vehicle Operations


Michael Estrada is a third generation towing professional with more than 33 years of experience in the towing and recovery industry. As an owner/operator of Haines Wrecker Service, a family-owned business established in 1971, Michael manages dispatch operations, responds to service calls, provides in-house training, and leads by example, filling whatever role is needed to support his team.


Michael has earned numerous industry certifications covering light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, electric vehicle operations, Traffic Incident Management (TIM), WreckMaster, NFPA, NATA, TRAA, and manufacturer-specific EV training. He is also the author of ERSCA's Electric Vehicle Operations curriculum, one of the industry's leading programs for the safe handling and recovery of electric vehicles.


A passionate advocate for education, Michael served on the Oklahoma Wrecker Owners Association Board of Directors and as Director of Training, where he helped develop Oklahoma's mandatory wrecker operator training and continuing education programs. Today, he instructs ERSCA Essentials of Standard Duty Towing & Recovery, Essentials of Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery, Advanced Winch and Rigging courses and Electric Vehicle Operations courses throughout North America.


Michael's passion is giving back to the industry by sharing the knowledge and lessons he has gained throughout his career. His goal is simple—to help tow operators stay safe, remain informed, and continue learning as the industry evolves.
